How we’re looking after your data

On 25th May the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force.  This new regulation will have a positive effect on all of us by offering improved transparency and protection of all our personal data.

As a business AIT takes the protection of our customers’ data very seriously.  Ahead of GPDR we had already committed to becoming ISO 27001:2013 accredited for Information Security, successfully achieving this in the summer of 2016.

We welcome and support the eight core principles of the GDPR and firmly believe these enhance our relationship with our customers.  To this end we have spent the last two years making sure our systems, policies and procedures reflect and support the requirements of GDPR, from checking we have the right technical measures in place to protecting your personal data, ensuring our solutions embrace privacy by design and undertaking a series of staff training sessions so our team are fully up to speed with the regulation.

We have worked with our key suppliers so we are satisfied that they too have the policies and procedures in place which meet our requirements.

Our privacy policy has been reviewed and updated to make sure it is clear and easily understood, here you can read more about what we are doing to treat your data with respect.

Our motto is that we should always treat your personal data as we would want our own personal data treating.

If you have any general questions about AIT and GDPR please feel free to speak to us, either by calling 0113 273 0300 or emailing  Please remember if your question relates to your own personal data you should complete a Subject Access Request Form - available here.
